EMS + Radio Frequency
One of our favorite body contouring treatments is electromagnetic muscle stimulation with radio frequency. This safe and effective treatment is FDA approved and considered non invasive. These treatments are quick, easy, have zero downtime and can deliver amazing results.
What is EMS?
EMS stands for electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Treatments are usually performed in quick 30 minute sessions 1-2 times a week. Each treatment is equivalent to 30,000 muscle contractions, adding muscle volume and strength not achievable through traditional workout methods.
How it Works:
This non-invasive body shaping procedure simultaneously uses high intensity electromagnetic therapy and radio frequency to eliminate 30% of fat and increase muscle mass by 25%. Radiofrequency is one of the most popular procedures for noninvasive fat reduction. Radiofrequency is used to increase the temperature of adipose tissue, leading to heat-induced damage of adipose cells. It is essential that you increase your daily water intake while receiving treatments because this will aid in flushing the damaged fat cells from your body.
The electromagnetic therapy triggers supramaximal muscle contractions in the target area. This extreme stress forces the muscles to adapt resulting in an increase in the number and growth of muscle fibers and cells. Recommended treatment areas are abdomen, buttocks, upper legs, arms, calves and pelvic floor.
What to Expect:
EMS appointments are very brief and there is no downtime after the treatment. You have the choice of treating one or two areas of the body per session or you can do two separate sessions back to back. Results are noticeable after a couple of weeks and continue to improve for up to 3 months after the final session. Individual results and longevity will vary based on lifestyle and diet, 1-2 maintenance sessions a year may be recommended to maintain consistent results.
